You're pretty much on the money. We talk about it in our net radio show "Not Even" during the Moombahton special.

You can get the archive audio here.

There is also this that we linked in the show notes. It's the kid who coined the term and started the whole thing.

Did you listen to any or just look at the Wiki article?...

From the promoter/bookers perspective (and of course I can only speak from my experience) whilst we do sometimes "make money" on shows, incedentals, past losses (trying to get a scene happening and having less than sucessful shows), budget overspends and my thirst for beer generally eats up any real "profit".

I'd say the people making any real money in this niche could be counted on one hand.

You're good on these definitions. I might have to add you to the payroll.

Lovely work! Can't wait to play one of your games big_smile

10k has just shown why the Australian scene is so special. Good on you mate! I hope the information that 10k has given helps you improve and that one day we can put you on one of the Soundbytes bills.

So I feel like this is in incredibly poor taste, adds nothing to the community and perhaps we could do without hypothesising about justifiable homicide.

I'm going to close this one off now but if you strongly believe you can justify the re-opening of this topic, please feel free to PM myself and we can talk about it.

Could have been the notion of you playing "the entire gameboy series" that had me skeptical that you owned every Gameboy game every produced... All 812 of them.

Regardless, as this was developed as a tool for homebrew dev and musical production roms it none of the testing has had anything to do with commercial rom support. So I guess you'll just have to suck it and see, as they say.

I'd also suggest that you won't get much after sales support if you find some games don't work (no reason they shouldn't, it's a big "if") as this wasn't the aim of the project.

The cart is intended as a tool for use with legitimately acquired roms for music production as an example, not to pirate games. I don't think anyone is keen to answer that question...

Check the forum rules wink

I can get into this.

Right now, for New Zealand Chiptune, we'll take whatever we can get in terms of media coverage.

I remember those times in our scene's development. Don't worry. A time will come where you can be choosy pricks and decline shit. #gangsta.
