I promise it isn't anything like this, I swear!
Annnnnd it's currently on hold for someone else now.
I was actually lucky enough that it hadn't dried completely yet, so I managed to get most of it off with a bunch of Goo Gone.
After that I managed to scrape all the dried up stuff off with a putty knife.
Probably not the best method, but it worked for me. :v
I don't have a picture of anything but the shell at the moment, but it's got an inverted blue backlight, transparent blue buttons, and a clear screen cover.
I'm gonna send it to Rhett & Link to show off on their daily Youtube morning talk show series Good Mythical Morning.
I was also considering throwing in an EMS cart with a couple LSDJ covers of some of their songs and Nick Maynard's How to Make Chiptune zine.
If I'd thought to do this a year and a half ago, I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it and they'd probably end up trying to use it for something, but nowadays they seem too busy to bother with stuff like that. We'll see.
Bump again.
Updated first post with DS games, Gamecube and N64 stuff, and Club Nintendo rewards.
Is it the original that's only compatible with a 2gb micro SD card or lower, or one of the slightly-newer ones that are compatible with 4+ gb cards?
Either way, I wouldn't expect to get much for it. You can get either version for dirt cheap (like $3-6 +shipping) nowadays. You can probably get a bit more since you're including a micro SD, but still.
I had three of 'em a while back. I couldn't get anything for them so I gave two of them away and decided to keep one of them just to run KORG-M01, DS-10, and Jam Sessions on my DS lite.
BUMP. FINALLY UPDATED.
SNES stuff added to OP, Gameboy games coming soon.
If anyone wants specific stuff put up next, let me know.
I've still got Genesis, Dreamcast, N64, PS1, Gamecube/Wii, and DS stuff to get rid of.
If anyone's interested I've also got some random anime dvds/cds/manga, various Club Nintendo rewards, game figures/plushes, and a ton of Sonic the Hedgehog 20th anniversary stuff. Like three big boxes under my bed full of Sonic figures. It's crazy.
EDIT: The Supaboy has now been sold.
After backlighting quite a few dmgs, I only just ran into the black screen problem last night. Does anyone know the specific cause of this and if there's an easy way to fix it?
hey guys, sorry for the hiatus. I got busy with work.
I'll have the thread updated and all PMs replied to by tomorrow afternoon.
More plain (no color) transparent DMG shells, colored screen protectors, and white DMG buttons would all be great.
Also still waiting on these.
hah, nice work!
I've always wanted to put together something similar but I don't have all the necessary tools or time to do so.
I'm quite jealous right now.
Bumping this to see if there's any more interest.
Emailed Sugar Sk*_*lls last week and after he replied I didn't have the chance to email him back until earlier today.
Just gonna relay what I said to him in my email here (he mentioned maybe looking into The Stone Fox as the venue):
if we did a show on March 29,30, or 31 (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), that'd be during the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, and we could potentially pull more people from over there for a bigger audience (it's at the Nashville Convention Center, like ten minutes away from Stone Fox). I work with staff there every year so we could possibly get some advertising out of it. Otherwise I'd just spread the info by word of mouth and maybe some flyers here and there, I'm sure we could get some people to come over for the show.
Note that the 31st is Easter, so that'd probably be out of the question, but 29th or 30th?
Does anybody think we could get everything together by then? We'd need someone to talk to the venue about setting a date, we'll need list of all participating musicians, and we'll want to spread the word like crazy so we can get a good audience.
if you need any help with merch booth, i'd be up for helping out however i'm able. we're just over the mountains in NC...
Speaking of merch, if anybody's ever looking into doing t-shirts or anything like that, I work at a custom t-shirt store and can maybe hook you up with some stuff for cheap. We print on pretty much anything fabric-based that'll lay down flat (to go into our printer), so in addition to shirts/hoodies and the like we can do coasters/mousepads, can koozies, bandanas, beanies, all sorts of cool crap.
What sort of "cosmetic blemishes" do they have?
Any chance we could get a couple pictures to see how bad the damage is?
Earthbound was bound to come up sooner or later - I could list most of the (huge) soundtrack but some particular favourites include
I always liked Dungeon Man's theme out of all the really weird tracks.
MTV Music Generator.
They released that thing on GBA too?
Dang, it's everywhere!
Sorry it's taking so long to reply to some of your PMs, everyone. Some family-related issues have been keeping me away from the compy lately. I thought they'd been taken care of earlier this week, but apparently not. :\
The yellow DMG, one of the Transferer IIs, and one of the 32M Smart Carts have been sold now. Updated first post.
My internet's going off for the night in a couple minutes so I can't do much more tonight, but I'll respond to anyone I haven't yet tomorrow as soon as I can. I'll also be adding SNES stuff to the first post.
Update: Libretto/"mystery carts" and GBA-to-parallel cable SOLD.
Yellow DMG, one of the 32M carts, a Transferer II, and yellow link cable/4-player adapter awaiting confirmation/payment.
My eyes hurt from all the stuff......I have no idea what to choose!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
