EDIT:  For those of you who have a larger presence than I do over at 8bc could you please recommend this comp to any TALENTED Acquaintances you've got over there.  I didn't make a thread over there for the sole reason of keeping this comp filled with high quality artists (whether new or old).  Doomsberry and I are tight since my blog post about him so I'll get in contact with him.  Would LOVE to have him put something together for us.

Sweet!  Doomsberry is one of the Great Underrated artists on 8bc, in my opinion.  (You know, along with all the other underrated peeps on 8bc...)

I've done a few tracks in the hopes of pulling something together for this, but I'm not so sure about them.  This style is kind of tough for me, apparently.  I'll keep plugging away at it, but I don't want to contribute if my tracks are crap!

RPG or side scroller would be fun.  I'd like to try a cheery, mario-esqu side scroller.  Something with bouncy major key music with.  Maybe a polka or circus lilt to it.  Sure you could still have the spooky underground stage music, but making maddeningly cheerful or cute music could be a blast.

Good entries this week!  Kommisar's is kinda mind-blowing!  Jredd, I think that's my favorite of your 1-bit stuff.  Octothorpe, kewl play on the start-up sound; but my fave part of yours was toward the end.

I've been working on this track for awhile, specifically to mix LSDJ with my cheapo Spanish guitar.  I'm pretty pleased with it, but I keep picking at the mix, or deleting little parts, or adding little parts, so I'd like some feedback. 

Specifically, is the guitar solo section too sparse?  Sometimes I like the sort of sparseness of that section, and sometimes I think it could use something, but I don't want to make it too busy.

And are the levels ok?  I don't want th guitar to be overpowered (or overpower).

Any other CC is welcome, but those are the areas I'm focusing on.  Any thoughts?

Good points.  You also would need to specify time period for an RPG comp.  If not, I'd b just as likely bust out some guitar and flute and make Chrono Cross style music, haha.  We'd probably have to say "Pre-1996 RPG music".
