I opened the first ever Magfest chiptune concert at Magfest 6 when I had been using LSDJ for like, a week. It was terrible.

I'm fucking stoked that my first East Coast show since then will be back at Magfest, on the main stage, with backup from my band DARK WARRIORS. We've got one hell of a set planned and it should be killer.

For ONE DAY ONLY, you can grab this EP for free. No reason to not check it out: http://wizwars.bandcamp.com/album/telstar-arcade

Sorry I'm been slacking on responses, being sick kills my motivation for doing anything productive.

Regarding genre - do whatever you want. I'm interested in hearing different interpretations.

Regarding wavs - yeah, I'm lazy. That's probably not going to happen. I was kind of looking for more LSDJ remixes anyway, but if someone wants to put in the work to making wavs themselves, then that's fine.

And it was made with the most recent version of LSDJ, which ever one that is.

Looking forward to hearing whatever you guys come up with!

The deadline is ASAP. Preferably before January 1st.

If someone has a particular song in mind that they want to do I can possibly record the four tracks separately, but I'm way lazy and I'm not going to just do it for all five songs if nothing is going to be done with the files. I didn't even do that when I was mixing the EP.

So I'm planning on putting out a special edition CD version of my latest EP "Telstar Arcade" and I'm looking for remixes for it. If anyone is interested in playing around with my tracks and sending me something, here is the SAV file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/apbsj5

I bumped the price down to $1 for the next couple of days so more people will check this out. If you dig it, consider donating more. All money made from this release goes towards new equipment and future shows.

Everything is written in song mode. Live, I don't always use live mode. I mostly fuck with instrument parameters, tables, muting / soloing, messing with the sync to stop the song, tempo...occasionally I'll mix shit up with live mode but even still my songs are solid chains and I just try to memorize which sections are which.

And I unfortunately have to cancel tonight. But Kool Skull is still playing!

This might actually end up being one of my last two LA shows. It's looking like I might be relocating to Philly soon.

Tonight! I go on at 11:30. I'm playing a stupidly long set.

It's been over a year since I released my last EP, "Game Boy Rock". In that time I've focused more on playing live shows than I have writing music, and since October of '09 I have played somewhere around 20 shows in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Las Vegas. I've been working on this EP for most of this year here and there, though progress has been a bit slow. I'm more proud of the final result than I am anything I've ever done before. Especially within the past few months, I've been dealing with a lot of shit and I think I successfully channeled most of the anger and frustration I was feeling into my music to create something that is quite different from anything else I've done before. For the most part, gone are the happy dance songs and in their place are slower, darker, more angry pieces of music. Still what I would consider dance music, but with more of an industrial feel I suppose.

And so here it is, 5 tracks, 15 minutes worth of new Wizwars, for $3 (or higher if you want to be nice). Big thanks to Josiah Tobin for mastering and providing artwork. LINK:

I'd prefer things to be more centrally located, but realistically, this venue is nine miles from the heart of Downtown LA and it's incredibly easy to get to either via car or bus. The main promoter of this show lives in the San Gabriel Valley so I'm assuming that's why he tends to book shows out there. It probably also comes down to cost, venue size, and a whole bunch of other bullshit.

I kind of hate the LA mentality of "if something isn't downtown or in Hollywood it's too far away". I live in Norwalk and everything is far away for me because I don't drive. I'd prefer that shows happen in Norwalk or Downey but if I started setting them up people would bitch about how far away it was, even though it's like 14 miles down the 5 from LA.
