I had more issue with finding singers with enough rhythm sense to count themselves in and get their phrases right without a reference track, but that's past-tense for me.

Very much this. Isn't the most common complaint besides "noobs are ruining everything" that "there's never anything happening near me?"

There is 12 tone and so called atonal music, much respect to people who do them well.

They were also trying to make V-i without accidentally sounding "arabic" by playing a raised second.

When I lived in the Midwest, we'd go to Ham Radio festivals for things like that- they were flea markets for all manner and age of electronics and you can test for your license there too. My friend scored 2 SE/30s and I collected most of my Commodore gear in that way. It is habit forming and there is a real danger of accumulating way too much worthless stuff, so take care that you don't accidentally un-kid-proof your house.

Void your warranty dangerous? I don't think so.
Won't look like anything artistically useful? Of course, but keep the originals and try again.

For 200 you're probably going to find a NetBook which means simplifying your approach to performing from it in some way- instead of playing from FL you could DJ from prepared renders with less issue. If you have songs that are CPU light, you can load them in just for certain bits and make sure they're special to your audience, but in truth it depends on what you want to do.

If you are planning to press space and let your songs play, an mp3 player can do that.

I thought GB Player (the Game Cube one) only plays GBA carts.

I think there is a gang in NC, I forget what city.

I made things in college with terrible balancing and too much reverb because i hadn't learned to mix yet. Anything I wrote before college is certainly lost or disposed of in some way.

Some of the things I did while learning to track are weak, but nothing I consider terribly embarrassing.

The M and O series workstations couldn't load new samples so neither can you. wink

I think it sounds more like the commercial bumps than the music in the anime itself.

I like the beats, but it sounds like I'm listening to all stems with no melody or even the slightest bit of variation as the loops play. I hope you do better next time.

I think that was in January which is another poor month. I recommend March or April.
