Sadly no. I'ts the same CPU only difference is the fimware.

I've just finished this mod. I replaced the regular CPU in my greyboy with a CPU from the SGB..
This video I made to demonstrate how quick the boot is. I've used 8Cylinder's software Pounder 2.0 because it loads immediately after boot. Also it was what was loaded on my carts ;-)

Nice... But the question remains; Does it wok with PAL ? Same goes for NESK-1. By the way you seem very talented in programming for the NES, where and how did you learn that ?

I have about 500 in the M27Cxxxx family. Mainly M27C2001 and M27C1001. That's 1 and 2 Mb. chips.
Also I got some "Atmel AT49F040-90JC 4Mbit Flash Memory" on the way.
