So getting back on topic and away from unrelated shows and the atrocities of combining sweets and greasy meat, I think everything proposed here seems right and fair, and the whole Dangerous Kids plan seems like a good idea. I've never organized a show before, but if there is anything my assistance is needed with, I would be more than happy to help to the best of my ability. And of course, I have been dying to play a show around here to make up for the atrocity that was my last one (all the way back in September).

I was also talking with Guerin about the possibility of busking in Pioneer Courthouse Square in July or August. Would this be possible without getting us all arrested/jacked?

I think for the time being, we could have a lot easier of a time if we just associate ourselves with the electronic music community at large and attempt to integrate ourselves into their already established (and EXPLODING) scene. A good group of guys to talk to about this would be Reactionary, they seem to have a knack for pulling off pretty rad shows, and they seem to do it with ease on a regular basis.

I would love to play with some of the rad breakcore people out here, especially Foxdye and Bllix. We don't necessarily have to segregate ourselves.

Reactionary FTMFW.
No other group of musicians/promoters have ever taken care of me and my music so well.
There is always some kind of crowd, great responses, and great promotion everytime Reactionary is involved. I can talk to my buddy from there and see what can be done.
that is, if you're fine with a non-oregonian lending a hand wink

As the King of Portland, I grant you passage into our hallowed lands.

I will be all over everything. There are EXTREMELY exciting things from the Plain Flavored camp in the works, trust me.

We gotta get in touch with the Berbati's crew, and Kevin, we must hang at the Flav Cave.

I dunno about the post-rock thing, as it struck me more as dreampop, but that doesn't even matter. Excellent release, you are definitely on my radar from here on out.

Hey guys, you can use Piggy on a PC too, and it might even work with MIDI, I dunno. I heard a rumor that computers are capable of MIDI.

Came across this completely by accident. Easily my favorite FDS soundtrack so far.

Awesome!

Ah, so the idea is that most people think that they're self-congratulatory, sometimes sarcastic assholes? In other words, they're like 90% of the chip music community, except people actually want to listen to their tunes?

The difference is that Nick (I'll leave Jack out of this as he is a respectable, nice fellow) takes himself seriously whereas when most other people in this scene act like assholes it's all in good fun.

A staggering majority of people that I've met on behalf of chipmusic have been kind, humble, generous individuals who can take a joke and can accept criticism without taking it personally.

Essentially, the idea is that in this life people will shit on you and you have to learn how to keep your cool without submerging yourself in a sea of butthurt.

I think this pretty much wraps up the debate as far as I'm concerned. This is my good luck song when electronic equipment malfunctions.

I would have considered buying this, but the label is just too important.
