A producer told me I sounded like tetris on crack. I asked him if he was actually listening.

Re: iscreamtruck - post hardcore influenced madtracker songs (3 replies, posted in Releases)
When you said hardcore I was expecting something more along the lines of bands like Floorpunch or something.
I feel like these could be better if there was a little more to them. Maybe some better sounds or something.
I was really into anything with screams and breakdowns at this time so this was what I was making on my grandma's dell computer lol
I can hear the post-hardcore influence! I think diamonds overboard is my favorite. It's catchy. Like, I feel like one could very easily put lyrics to the lead line of it. Overall they're all pretty rad. Personally, if you feel like improving upon them, pitch bends and some sort of reverb would definitely capture my attention
diamonds overboard actual does have lyrics! I played one show under the name iscreamtruck in Rockford, IL, and diamonds overboard went off lol.
These tracks were made at the very very beginning of my music making days. But if I was to start making music like this again I totally would drown these tracks in awesome effects and stuff. I'm trying to grow up a little from this style though. I'm trying for something a little more progressive now.
but thanks for listening!:)

Topic: plantable download cards (10 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I'm not sure if I saw it on here or not, but I saw someone release music that came on a download card that you could plant, and it would grow a flower! Does anyone have a link to the organization that does this?
What are some other awesome/interesting cd packaging ideas you've been seeing? It's growing more and more important for artists to add incentive for people to buy physical music these days.

Topic: Who's using Reason? (8 replies, posted in Audio Production)
This past semester I had a class that introduced Reason and I, and we pretty much hit it off. I have not done any sequencing or recording with it, but when I rewire into Pro Tools, it's pretty magical. What are you guys doing with Reason? If not Reason, what sequencing DAW are you using?
As for me, I did a quick little experimentation track found here http://kevinrogerssound.tumblr.com/post -synthesis
I also did an original sound design for the fifth Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus. That one is not currently online for display

I haven't been home much the past couple days, but while I was out I managed to gather all the necessary parts of a desktop running XP on it! I will hook it all up tonight and try my luck on the relic. Thanks again!

Topic: 64m Smart Card Questions (11 replies, posted in Tutorials, Mods & How-To's)
Before I get jumped, I understand that doing a couple simple searches can show me how to do this, but what I am finding isn't really helping.
I am trying to learn how to create a connection between my cartridge (http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/usb-64m-smart-card) and my laptop. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have followed these directions (http://www.hkems.com/files/EMSlink/64bi _Guide.pdf) with no success. I am using a direct USB port. I do not know what else to change. I am not aware of any amendments to these directions.
I am also trying to learn what I would need to do to back up LSDJ songs, upgrade LSDJ software, etc. I had Kitsch Bent flash my cartridges for me (thanks again!) and I am really trying to learn this for myself. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much.
