Yes please

Did you make sure to check the "color" tab when syncing them to the flash?

All the lyrics to low tide by j arthur are just puns about wave forms, but he makes it work

I get a lot of similar condescending comments from people in Alabama. My dad "gets" it, but he hates that I don't incorporate my instrumental works with chip to make it more palettable to him. My extended family doesn't really like it either. My girlfriend loves it, and my friends appreciate it. It's not so bad. The real issue is trying to play live in freaking Alabama. No appreciation for electronic music at all.

I wouldn't mind hearing a song from you with some live instrumentals

Any sort of pun on the word gameboy in general.
Edit: Also shit that uses alt code charecters like they're going out of style

It's just my grandma and me, she thinks it is cool but doesn't really grasp it. My brother thinks it's neat but doesn't seem personally interested. I've tried showing friends trackers and stuff but they mostly see it as novel or "video game music"
I did however find a friend who has genuine interest in it, she had heard of unicorn kid and I got her listening to some I Fight Dragons and is cool if I play it while she's over. I showed her a couple things I did tracker and gameboy wise and she was pretty impressed.
Also did a school speech on chiptune as a demonstration, I missed the deadline and made it up after school but the teacher and everyone thought it was actually really cool, and a close friend actually gave me his gameboy pocket (in near mint condition!) for free as a token of appreciation. I link some friends some covers and stuff and they seem to range from liking it to indifferent but so far no one has ever really hated it (or at least told me to my face).

I had this game a couple years back, come to remember I'm not sure what ever happened to it..

I thought daft punk used a talk box, which is when you stick a hose with the sound in your mouth and record it from a mic? The sound is different from vocoder and quite distinct.

To my ears, the vocal in Something About Us is pitch corrected (auto tuned at 100%) and then put through a bandpass filter for "telephone noise," but I could be wrong, there are a few ways to get that tone.

For a talk box you can hook up a plunger lit to a speaker, with a tube coming out the back then use that for the effect in front of a mic

Lol, that was pretty good. I can understand the communities reason for such a backlash though. They are very protective of their chiptune baby tongue

On a side note, over 2000 people have viewed this topic. Damn

also nice job, you unintentionally brought a crap ton of attention to your page.
...or was it unintentional?! Conspiracy time? Conspiracy time. TalkPolite confirmed for Kim Jong Un in disguise plotting to take down America by distracting them with mis-interpreted threads one forum at a time.

I'm seriously considering giving up on this whole forum thing and just going to try making some of this "Chipmusic" stuff you guys seem to like talking about. Yeah. I think I'll do that.

Ew no, why on earth would you go and do something like that?
