Thanks! These don't use RAM, right? So they can go on the other side of a 2 page ems cart, right? (now I just need a cart)

They don't use SRAM, Yes the fixed ones work fine on the page 2, Just remember to save any vital unsaved works before switching pages.

Here is my little 30 second or so sample comparison:
1/8", Full Volume, Wired to PostPot, Stock Jack, Prosound
1/4", Pretpot @ 0 Volume

The 1/4" is wired to these points:

Where as the 1/8" is just wired to the normal Right & Left out.

As mentioned earlier, I very much like to use the 1/8" for composing and use 1/4" for recordings.

If anyone wants to get audiophile geeky here is a visual comparison of a wave from FLACs:

Edit: Hardware - DMG01_CPU_06

I can just walk into a thrift store or electronics liquidator and start plugging them into my DMG—I get to be that weirdo! wink

Hahahaha, I know that feeling

Okay, picture explained a lot.
You could try re soldering the connections/ uploading pics of wiring/ or rewiring from the volume pots to alternative points like such:

Rewiring to these points is not controlled by the volume knob though.

What points the RCA soldered too? Vs the Headphone jack + any other you may have.

Just a thought,
What happens when you play a single note with a instrument on left channel on the internal speaker?
repeat with switching it too the right channel.

Thanks Apeshit! That is what I was looking for and more!
The two yellows you sent me a while back are still going strong, so looks like no need for any biversion.

Somebody really needs to develop a GUI. big_smile\
Nice walk through of terminal setup and such!

guess its worth mentioning in here, 2 weeks from today there's a gig with me, 8cylinder & ccdm (plus 5 non-chip related acts) http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/7514/ … -esc-more/ some of you who havent come to chicago gigs before(and are over 21) should come out and say hello.. if this one goes well, guy booking it will do more gigs, probably not chip-only gigs though.. still, better than nothing

Just spitballin here but if it is difficult to find a venue for chip-only gigs, I suggest looking into/ contacting the Galloping Ghost arcade.

http://gallopingghostarcade.com/

Its the one of the largest arcades in America. I know they do rent out parties at night, it being an intense arcade and all I think booking a chip show wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world.

As a matter of fact this is where I first heard chiptune, Saskrotch played an amazing set and I fell in love with the music ever since.

Hello there so I have a biversion chip laying around from an earlier install attempt. Due to my own stupidity I fried the Left+B CPU inputs. So I've been afraid to install it anytime soon.

This got me wondering, Is it even really worth installing?
I've heard that it raises the contrast, which would be cool and all. I've also seen people use it to uninvert there inverted screens.

In the name of science could someone please upload a pics or video comparing a regular DMG screen too the biverted model?

Understandable, its a very small world. I've supported people from CM.O without even realizing it big_smile

You could contact Apeshit about the Front PCB's, He did 2 prebacklight ones for me.
Best bet on finding gameboys would be ebay or craigslist.

Nope. Although trying to save something on the while running a rom on the second page will mess with anything you haven't saved in the first page.

Its kinda complicated.

No. It flashes very quickly hardly even noticeable when you power off from the first page.
The second page when used activates a green LED indicator on the top of the cartridge next to the usb slot.

To easily get to the second page just turn on the gameboy fully, while nintendor is falling from the top of the screen just carefully slide the power switch half way in between on and off and it should activate the second page. It will probably take a few tries.

I try really, really hard to get everything really even and smooth in LSDJ before I record it.

Hell yeah!

I'm personally a fan of pure unadulterated Gameboy line-in recordings. (FLAC of course)
