Put me down for "I Saw Three Ships."  I'll see if I can come up with something short.  Glad someone is into the holiday spirit early, too!  Not October-early, mind, but releasing Christmas music before the holiday season and not the day before/of.

I mean, I know people who listen to Christmas music year round so why the hell not, right?
Putting you down for 'three ships, but why come up with something short?

Oh man. I did the back of mine pretty terribly it gets pushed and mushed around but I got that weird metal paint so it sticks pretty well and I haven't had THAT terrible of a reaction holy moly.

I have to apologize for the deleted videos. It was done in the heat of the moment and there was a thought behind it but I don't think it was justified, they are gone unfortunately and unrecoverable at this point. I promise I will make it up to you guys"

That's really sad I was looking forward to listening. Poor guy. I've been there, purging things unecesserily.

I don't have a multimeter and I don't really know if I would have the ability to fix it. It's an awesome keyboard though, with midi capability. If anyone wants to buy it as is I would be willing to make a good deal?

You could post it and more sales info in the trading post forum to better get an idea of who'd be interested in purchasing. Not many people would look at this thread to decide whether or not to purchase I would think. tongue

I'd be in if I could pick a song! If I can't pick, can do a Christmassy original

I recorded a sample of jingle bells the day after Christmas last year and have not got to use them yet!

Sounds great! Any participation is appreciated smile

I have a sleigh ride remix/cover i never finished or released. I'll finish it for this thing if you'd like!

I had my heart set on sleigh ride but I can always pull another! If you finish that and feel like you wanna do another or if you just want to do another would be ideal but if you just want to do sleigh ride I understand and will think of something else. I might as well pick last since its the hostly thing to do smile

I think a catalog of who dibbed what on the first post would be helpful. smile
(I'm procrastinating on deciding)

Great idea! When I get to a computer I'll post artist names of those who've mentioned to me personally or on this thread that they're participating and then their proposed track if applicable.

Edit: jk did it anyway.

Woo

I'll stop needlessly posting about how exciting this is and instead just pay attention if there's any questions or whatever, I'll think of the best solution and add it to the OP.
If updates come along (idk what would) then I'll be sure to mention but basically happy chipping for two weeks! Remember to PM me submissions or any other kinds of questions, whatnot, and I'm sure any CC we can probably keep in-thread so theres not a bunch of christmas CC all over Chipmusic. tongue

edit: updated OP regarding CC and fixed wording on music guidelines!
Also made mp3 deadline October 7th because 3 weeks should be enough time to get a song done and mastered and then there will be the same amount of time to perfect the sound in a .wav format and then a decent amount of time to get it organized into album format.

Also: temp art.

What if we had this or something like it as a sticky I mean there are top stickies and lots of people have been on other forums before sticky threads are generally known as the "read before posting threads" so. Just a thought.

proposed art by ppprsnn used with permission.

aka "Christmas before Nightmare Collab"
aka "Jolly old Saint Chip"
aka "christmas really did come early this year!" (coined by Downstate)

So I've always wanted to participate in a Free Christmas album, I've got a sheet ton of sheet music (paper puns), and i'm ready to roll it out early.

I was gonna run this by you guys first.

Also we can probably keep any CC if needed in thread so there's not an influx of christmas CC on chipmusic idk how annoying that'd get for the forum in general. I figured this was pertinent because I'm encouraging adventuring in music, I even have someone interested wanting to do like some hardcore lo-fi n stuff.

› Proposed artists in alphabetical order by username

› Christmas songs not represented (feel free to remind me of some):

If you are listed in the roster and your artist name is not listed PLEASE send me your artist name! I recognize that not everyone goes by their artist name on the forum. Thank you smile

Will be reflecting updates on my facebook you can "like" me there to share updates with all your friends!
ALSO~ if you'd like your facebook/bandcamp to be linked in the above roster instead of chipmusic profile pm me a link and I will do it :3

I've like writing music but like most other forms just escape me pretty much. Too lazy to learn composition, too lazy to practice performing arts in spite of my long history in them, and stage fright erupts music play. This does not bode well for someone who has musical passions and inclinations so this came to me and came to me fast and hard and it was beautiful. I found my muse gentlemen, in an abandoned toy I left for dead 13 years ago.
