Uhh...theory is theory man. It's not like lsdj has it's own special notes. I recommend getting a guitar or piano and learning a bit on that.

Great idea. Learning music on a gameboy or a computer or something like that is far from the best way how to learn. I recommend a piano highly.

I don't know where to begin, there's just so much stuff. I'm still in high school, and of course, play in the school band. At the beginning of this year, when we got into music theory, we started talking about chords, their progressions and the way it affects the overall sound and feel of the song, how they're built, stuff like that. Even if a lot of chiptune isn't really chord-heavy, it's a good place to start.

Edit: I think I have some notes I could scan... XD

Gross is hipster-speak for awesome. Maybe.
I'd come if I was 21, it sounds awesome.

To be honest, I'm a terrible musician, especially in chiptune, so I don't play shows. Anybody play shows in the Seattle area?

They look cool, for making beats and loops and whatnot. They're not super chippy, but I can make an exception smile Anybody have input?

I record all my chip stuff onto a 4-track cassette recorder, and then into mp3, just to give it a bit of depth and whatnot.

Ermmm...
I live in Washington. There is almost no sketchyness to be found. This thread makes me feel so white. XD

I'll probably never move far from where I live now, I'm too much of a pansy to live anywhere else. I love living in a place where I can just play music and hotbox and chill all day, and not have to worry about my car being broken into and whatnot.

Why do people live in sketchy cities, anyway?

Update: I successfully backlit my MGB, it turned out great. It's not incredibly hard, it just takes a steady-ish hand.
