i am looking forward to this more now than i was before, and i was really looking forward to it before.  "impossible boner" is awesome, and has one of the best music videos i've ever seen.

just got my ticket, see you all there!

I would recommend trying with some brand new batteries before opening anything up.  No sense tinkering unless you know for sure that something is busted.  Did you install the backlight and audio jack yourself, or have someone else do it?

Do you have a back-up gameboy to test out your nanoloop cart?

I mean this:

the game is going to be primarily a two player game and you have to use each other's abilities to get through the level in the fastest time or most lives (several different game options)

like P1 would be able to chop down trees a, and P2 would be able to have the smarts to make something out of it.

it' pretty much always going to be cooperative.

That sounds cool!

Looked at the little-scale songs that were loaded on it to see how to do some cool stuff.  There used to be a website that had a bunch of different instruments with sound samples and detailed instructions, but I think it went down.  I just messed around for a while, and continue to do so.

@someonesomewhere
Read your tigsource write-up, this sounds like a really cool project!  I like the cooperative theme a lot.  Keep experimenting, it's looking awesome!

If your library doesn't have the book and you want to see it, let me know and i'll e-mail you some scans.

@KeFF
Yeah, that book rules!  It has proved to be an invaluable resource time and time again.

We're experimenting with textures.

I also agree that this looks awesome!

I would like to see how it looks with the texture only applying to the sky, I think it looks a little funny when the wrinkle goes through the foreground.  But that's just me!  All in all, I think the style is awesome, and I can't wait to see how this develops and I can't wait to play it!  Good work!

Not sure how your re-working of the walk cycle animation is coming along, but if you can get it out of the library, there is a lot of good info/advice/insight on walk cycles in "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richard Williams starting on page 106.  Good luck!

I'm in.  I was really happy with how the album I did last year turned out, and I'm unemployed this year so theoretically whatever I make should be twice as good.

I can vouch for that.  My RPM album from 2009 (75% unemployed during the month of February) was probably 4 times better than my 2010 RPM album (0% unemployed during the month of February).  I highly suggest everyone quit their jobs for RPM.  Unless you don't want to.  Don't quit your job.  SAVE THE ECONOMY, F*** THE WHALES 2011!!!

That was awesome!  What was the name of that new song?  Was it really "my best friend was killed by hot topic"? That is probably the best song name ever.  Also, that song is awesome.

I would say that you should buy the part as it is pretty cheap and your time is more valuable than the hour or so it could take you to clean and bend both sets of pins on the 72 pin connector.  If you put a brand new one in, you only have to open up your NES once, and that alone is worth it to me.

I replaced the 72-pin in one NES and it works for most games.  Just the other day on a different NES I bent the pins and cleaned them with alcohol, and it works fine for most games.  Did you clean Super Mario/Duck Hunt?  My guess is that your games could use a thorough cleaning, but what do I know?  I have had good experiences ordering from www.nintendorepairshop.com.  Good luck!

The website seems like it might be down right now, but that one picture that someonesomewhere is pretty neat, I like your color choices.  Also, I am reading Deadeye Dick right now.  Well, not while typing, but I read some earlier and will read more later.

I got the PaperJamz amp too, but was a little disappointed in it's lack of volume.  Felt like a sucker for days.  Now it's in my office on a bookshelf, and it works very nicely for playing music while I am working on brainless tasks.

theAutomation, are there volume controls on the amp itself that I don't know about?

BR1GHT PR1MATE: You make awesome music, and I like that you are from Boston.

AdamGetsAwesome: Your music is very awesome, and thanks for signing my gameboy.

Little-scale: You are awesomely prolific, I like what you do with Sega Master Systems, and I especially like "Red, Yellow, and Orange".

Kitsch, Nonfinite, and Capcomposer: Thanks for selling me some cool stuff, and being awesome about it.

Everyone from Australia who made all the hilarious "shooped" images:  Thanks for making those, they were very funny.

Everyone else:  I like reading most of what you have to say, and thanks for saying it.  I mean typing it.  And everyone who makes music, keep up the good work.  Unless it's not good.  In that case, I like your effort!

I'll buy the firebox for $95!
