*E, the end connector looks too small on that one. Measuring an adaptor that works in my US and PAL NES consoles, it's about 5.0 mm OD/2.9 mm ID. I believe a 5.0/2.5 would work as well. I'm not very experienced with these sizes though, so someone else might have a better idea of the allowable connector sizes. Voltage and current-wise, that one would have been fine.

Ok thanks Blargg!

If this is a US front-loading NES, you can use a variety of power supplies. 9V or 10V with either polarity (or even AC) is fine, and at least 800 mA or so.

Do you think this would work?

there's got to be a game store near you that'd have an NES power adapter.

Unfortunately I only have a Gamestop near me, and they don't have one sad

perfect thanks dude. I'll email you in the morning.
You don't have the power adapter do you?

Hi all,
I recently found an old r/f tv in my basement, cables and all.  Powered on perfectly, but I remembered I don't have any cables to power my old NES.  Now that the Munchausen cartridge is in the works, and development seems to be coming along I was hoping to grab some cables for my NES in preparation for its release.  Does anyone have a spare R/F adapter and/or power adapter that they'd be willing to give up?

You totally hate BIT SHIFTER, right, because you’re a rebel, or whatever? That’s just because you haven’t listened to Shifter slowed down 800 percent. Now his new single “Reformat the Planet” is a 30-minute epic. And it sounds awesome. No, really.

Courtesy musician Reteris, who used the free program Paulstretch, this is “Reformat the Planet” made slower. Like, a lot slower—eight times slower, to be exact. And all of a sudden the not-bad piano pop track sounds like the climactic score to some kind of historical epic, or Dead Can Dance, or, like, Animal Collective, or something. It sounds like the ocean, but, like, in heaven, man. Plus, it’s 35 minutes long:

Anything by Alan Moore. Watchmen, V for Vendetta, From Hell, League of Extraordniary Gentlemen, Lost Girls (if you don't mind porn). Note that the movies don't come close, especially LoEG totally raped the comic.

I'm not much of a comic buff but I do own Watchmen and V for Vendetta.
They are really great check them out!

Just letting you know, I'm keeping the thread on 8bc open, I want you to win! (and it's a dumb rule anyways)

Seriously, don't sweat it! You seem like a respectful poster interested in making conversation. It's good to understand why a thread like this will likely be considered out of place and garner negative attention by some, but you have the right intentions. Perhaps it's worth reevaluating if talking about games...
A) Should happen in the General forum.
B) Should happen in a new / revised subforum.
C) Shouldn't happen at all.

I'd prefer A or B. It's not like game discussion is ruining the integrity of the general forum, or anything, but I could understand why someone might want it separated.

/tldr, and good post from bit shifter.

Thanks Bucky!

Agreed this is a general discusion and it is fair game, but we're all just a bit over pompous because we care so much about what we do. It sucks when a comunity you cared/care so much for goes into such a termoil like it did in the past few years (all my opinion). So we're just overly antsy over the little things because, we can't fight the bigger battle like we used to.

I completely understand smile
It's frustrating when you want to preserve the integrity of the site, yet someone like me (who barely posts on CM) disrupts it.  I'll use better discretion next time.

Sorry if I may have opened a scab in the community.  I thought this ROM hack was a really interesting creation and figured General Discussion was the most appropriate section to put it in.

Maybe some of the posters in this thread didn't even click the link to realize what that the thread is about a ROM hack rather than Pokemon.

Edit:  Either way, I apologize.  If a mod wants to delete this to keep standards on CM I completely understand. smile

Zen Albatross got me onto this.  I've been trying to discover if the ROM exists anywhere.  Has anyone seen it before?  Heard stories about it?  It sounds very cool either way.

Pretty crazy huh?!  I know most likely it's a really entertaining and thought-provoking fake, but nevertheless.
