I am making my own game and as it happens i will be doing my own music. Does that make me bad?

Otherwise i would have a game about slowly moving through calming environments with a sound track by xik.

Its not chip music related because its a clock. It can tell the time in hex so i guess thats a tenuous link to lsdj. Anyway i thought i would let you all know.

Gordon Strombola.

Someone (Dot.AY i think) wrote a good paper on chip tunes and the community around it several years ago that several of us took part in in the way of interviews.

I wouldn't say chip tune was a genre but more of a description of method/ sound. I mean allot of what i made is reggae so...

All them witty and enlightening posts i made, gone. Will the world recover? No.

Shame that such a huge data base of music had to go though. The good thing about 8bc in its prime was that it blurred out from just an online community and became something more real to many of the users. Met some cool people from 8bc. Cool people indeed.

also where are all the bitches at?

Post your old avatar and they will come...

Oh man thats probably the saddest thing. OMG lesbian love WTF cat died with 8bc. *dons black armband*

The most important thing that happened is that i made some chip tunes that were so awesome that i would have blown the world to bits, so i had to delete them all before i ended the world.

cover it in what?

If you have them id love to know some details/Links of the ftdi midi drivers on the mac. Iv been thinking about making some USB midi stuff for a while and just never got fully up to speed.

I've been using Big Chip's drop tools, but could not get an mml file using dcpm (dpcm?) to compile, sad

Hmm odd ill have a look into this.

-edit-
No works fine for me. Make sure your putting the address of your dmc sample in correct. If you are using text edit to write your mml file like me the way i do it is to just drag the dmc file into the text aria and it will give  you the absolute address to it. e.g.

@DPCM0 = { "/Users/jYourName/dmcSamples/sanre.dmc",15 }

And it should give you dmc filled nsf's. Hope that helps.

Magic is the only plausible explanation for this.
