It's really just about preference in sound, if you already use lsdj then I would assume you will want to try 2.3
Me personally, I have a hard time actually writing songs in 2.3, and I don't find it very good for hard bassy beats, but you can do some sick dubstep wobbles with it.

umm, there are so many ways to make very nice kick drums in 2.3..im confused...

well, the thread title hadnt been changed yet, perhaps he doesnt know
also: the 48hours begin when someone accepts the challenge, not when the challenge is made

what i meant was moreso that the training equips you with the vocabulary to more easily discuss it in terms that others can relate to

ok, im closing this thread, seems more destructive than constructive

i think its easier for a musician to write about music and for a visual artist to write about visual art...im both so i do ok at each, but i understand how a lack of practice in formal critique of visual arts/film could make it more difficult to write about visuals for the untrained, esp at the high speeds they tend to go for chip gigs wink i mean, theres a lot to take in for your senses when youre in the middle of the floor at blip

So solution will be have CD with:

AUDIO CD DATA - best songs by voting
COMPUTER DATA - All year collection of MP3 or maybe NES, SID tunes etc etc

So everybody will be happy...

Label... Well best will be to have original CDs. You know beautiful pixelart booklet printed on quality paper and beautiful CD layer.

But when it will piss lot of people. You can realise just ISO format and PDF with CD cover and booklet.
Everybody can print it and make its own CD.

But perfect will be have 15-25USD CD for sale. And some t-shirts maybe too... for gigs, shows... in little shop.

PS: And now lets track some nice tunes rather than talk about this...

weve been a website barely a month yet, id prefer if we not go so aggressively commercial any time soon

basically, if anything of this sort is going to happen, ever, itll be put together by the site staff in some way or another...myself and another staff member already briefly talked about a similar idea to this before the site even launched, but its waaaaay too early to worry about this, and if the time comes, you wont have to be one of the people figuring out how to implement it smile

has anyone yet received one of those carts? id hear about them a llttle while back and i was skeptical
