If there's going to be ANY kind of rating system, force a comment with the rating. That way, up- and downvotes have to be qualified and can even be moderated.
Edit: Plus it encourages CC

I've been driving one of those for a while, and various other (classic) Mini incarnations. My father is a fan.
My work is so close that a car isn't really practical, so all I'm driving now are standard VWs when I have to visit a customer. I have to say, all the technical gizmos in modern cars are very convenient, but driving old cars is way more fun. And I'm more comfortable driving them, without the whole electronics between me and the street.

@µB: In your top post, you seem to have put the Thai Khene sample pack in with the chip stuff - it's a wind instrument
Lol, I really thought it was some obscure taiwanese console I hadn't heard about. Deceived by context. Fixed.

ant1: Perfectly good link. I just don't want any of those 10000 FREE SOUND EFFECTS sites that bury anything useful when you google for samples. The downside of big repositories is that when you're browsing for stuff, you often can't see what's inside those archives. Personally, I prefer archives to be specialized in such a way that I know what to expect. I'm looking for old drum synth samples, I go to kb6 and check their Linndrum, or whatever. I'm much more motivated to download sample pack when I don't get a mishmash of stuff.
Also guys, go ahead and post anything good that's hardware or tracker specific (.xi, dpcm wavs etc). It would be cool if we could make this thread an index for anybody looking for good samples.
And more weird stuff! It's the best!

Bookmarks Yea
Visible on track Nay
Visible in profile Yea
Charts Nay
I like to browse other people's bookmarks, it's a good way to find new music.
And while the engine isn't up yet, I still think a recommendation system based on bookmark overlaps with other users would be useful.

Re: Quoting (9 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Would it be possible to cut off quotes that exceed a certain length? The smaller fonts for nested quotes are a nice touch, but a 200 line quote with just an 'I agree' under it still looks stupid.
Then again, I guess that's really user responsibility.
Edit: There's an option on some forums to expand/collapse long quotes with a button on top of it. That's pretty neat.
