Hello!  Although it is linked to the Melbourne show, I thought I would create an international version of the timetable for the live stream.

Hey!  I stopped work on my software because I hit a brick wall with memory and needed to start over with a new routine for bank switching, etc.  A friend of mine wrote a new routine for playback which is way more advanced than Paul's but had a motorbike accident and never finished it :-/   I met up with an amazing coder in Germany at Evoke who has got a simlar and I gave him my infrustructer - so we'll see where it goes.

As pointed above, you will probably not see a sequencer with the 128 bytes of RAM the 2600 has!  Unless it's some kind of special custom cart.  That's why I took the make it on PC and translate it to code approach.

If you talk to anyone who has the cTrix USB key, they will be able to get you the software and video files that take you though how to use it.

As a few people have said - the Atari 2600 is basically Atonal and making music for it a bit of a joke really, but it's quite fun.  I think little-scales use of samples though the chips is amazing balls though.  That shit sounds rad!!

Wouldn't it!!!  I'll get in contact with Sanity and see if he can join up here and keep us updated :-)   Only problem would be register reset on loop - but I think it would mainly be ok.

Hey, we ran Syntax Demoparty (Australia) this weekend and had a few interesting things come out of it.

The first item on this video is "work in progress" but coming along pretty well.

While the replay function is the main feature at the moment, eventually Sanity intends to add support for MIDI.  I'm going to request a feature for "loop points" so you can call back (via MIDI) timed loops of audio to the SID which will make it a perfect live performance tool for using a real SID chip based to data capped from a real tracker.  But there is a feature in dev for playing the SID live with a synth / via DAW MIDI output too.

EARLY DAYS in dev, but thought I'd post the vid.  Also, lots of C64 stuff in here.  Check out those trading envolopes from the disk mailing days!!!

HEY!  Can we get some feedback on this if possible?

Is the stream clear?

Is it dropping out?

We just had to do a complete reconfig on a new laptop.
Thanks heaps. :-)

Won't upload.  Was going to upload a tune.... but y'know...! :-P

Can't wait for this show!  Just about to put the gAtari back together and see what happens :-P   Then to figure out the set... hmmmm....

See ya'll tomorrow!

Padded test meter case.  Also use an old camera case from an Olympus C400 (http://old-digitalcameras.com/MorePicts/MP51.htm)   Back when small digital cameras were the same size as gameboys!!

This is a 36 minute, fully edited, mixed and fully mastered live coverage of Radlib's magnificent set from Blip.  It's on Vimeo for best vid / aud quality.

https://vimeo.com/45312306

- Shot on 5 cameras bootleg style (don't underestimate what a few Powershot's / IXUS's can do!)
- Microphones placed in audience / on stage + feed from on-stage DJ mixer
- Highest quality workflow until web encoder (which has done an amazing job of keeping sound and vision intact)

Edit:

Live mix session from 4 mics and line:

I hummed and haa'ed about if this really constitutes a "release"; but given the length and context, I think it get's away with it!!  Besides, it was a f**king amazing show for all who were there.  I gave the audio to a friend and while she's been loving it, I showed her the video yesterday and her comments were "it's even better as a video"... hence keeping it that way!  Hopefully Radlib will follow this up with some extended versions of these tunes on a studio release soon.  Shot & released with full permission from Radlib / CHiKA, etc.

Enjoy :-)

ps. Will offer more track titles in time. Included is "Off the Meter", "March of the Whoompleotides", "Detonate", cover of "Minha Caipirinha É Ótima (Very, Very)" by minusbaby,  cover of "Human Nature" (originally by cTrix).

This excites me :-)+<

Yeah - I missed this by a few days too - AND I was flying home via LA!  Fun times - can't wait to see pictures.

Great to be back in NYC.  So... 10pm tonight... Barcade?  I think a few of us are heading down :-)

Have to report that Serial number #0001 is working very well and this cart is the bee's knees!!  ;-)

Send an email to customer support, they were very responsive when I asked for .sav files to allowed as bonus items.

Hang on - this is something I want to do on my gameboy release!  They were fine with SAVs?
