stupid question: is it possible to load it direct on the ''B face'' of a USB cartidge, to have some practice before getting and actual version ?
or you need to have a 1.3 version and somehow update it and then load on the card ?

or you can't load it on a USB card at all ?

I got the free demo version already but never actually  achieved to get a simple riff out of it...
when everybody seems to agree that it is sooo easy to get into it, gasp, I feel somehow ashamed, weakened, frustrated about it... smile

Had no major pb to get started with LSDJ though... nanoloop just seems... weird and obscur... but i've heard you could fat bass lines out of version 1.3, which does interest me a lot...

I have another grey box lying somewhere in the attic, i'm very happy with 1xLSDJ... and would rather go for NL+LSDJ than 2xLSDJ, if I decide to link things up in the future... feel like it's a more complementary/evolutive option

It's for the guys who want some genuine chip sounds who don't get deep into chiptune using LSDJ, Nanoloop etc.

Kill them all!!! smile

I use my Zoom H2 as USB audio interface, then > audacity, 1 line per canal.

works quite well, but I'm getting fed up with audacity's bugs and shite effect range...

so

Reaper. (Reaper has more options).

I might give this a chance, then...

the advantage of the H2 is to be able to extract a quick .Wave or .mp3 anytime, anywhere, or become the external sound card of any pc or labtop ''on the go''...

I feel like such a dingus

...you're not alone sad

Mine came from a very old electro track I made for a friend after a silly bet, I had to sample some bits of an anime called ''les mondes engloutis'' that we just watched, and come up as quick as possible with some stupid ''mushroom eater'' kind of a story...

Sesskapile is a poor joke for ''sex appeal'' and is a very stupid, arrogant, immodest, punky character of this anime:

I use to write it with an inverted ''K'', for maximum coolness smile

consider looking up groups of people who are already into different experimental ways of making music, be it electronic or not

yes this, definitely

over here, nobody actually ever heard about chipmusic at all, but pretty much all of my ''music friends'' local or online, showed very excited with the idea of including little grey box blips into various -very different- projects.

great!!

been actually searching for such a template recently

thanks for sharing

- game boy screens are so small!

well it's supposed to be the actual point of it no ? oO

I've tried to search on the android side earlier, found some Nanoloop apps, but no memories about LSDJ

there is caustic3 that looks like a killer music app...

guys, thanks so much for all of this!!

I wrote some tutorials that talk about the WAV channel

yes, your tutorials are the best things that happened on the net since the invention of porn...
I do refer to all of them all the time (i stick on épisode 4 and 5 at the moment) and beyond the obvious technical quality of the information, I truly enjoy the writing style!

Wav Synth is the hardest but most awesome part about LSDJ in my opinion.

yep, even kind of scary to be honest

at the end my real concern is not really to acheive the best bass sound ever, I got plenty of time to engage on the path of perfectionnism... i'm searching for something simple and efficient

in a few days, i'll have to go to a jam session and the fact of being able to throw a cool, spontaneous beat and bass among the other instruments will kind of decide of ''chip or not to chip'' into the future formation (i'm not scared about my performance on the flute)

yes, i'm a kind of a chip jedi  \o/

... who does though not even know yet if he's going to use this fucking wave channel for bass or beat... (because, yes, i LOVE wav kicks too)

style will most propably turn arround ethno-dub that sometimes goes on punky jungle/dubstep
beats should be very simple (kick-snare-HH) not to orvecome tablas and cajon... bass should not get into (too much of a) conflict with the didgeridoo...

sigh...

hi thank for the link, i got this already, but found only 2 bass, not really appealing to my hears... but you made me realise that I should have used the search thing with a bit more of wiseness, there are plenty of ideas in old topics

sorry guys

Hi,

do you guys know where I could find some cool patches of different wav basses, in order to get a ''mental library'' of possible sound palet ?
have no access to the patchbook app...

I will have to create/modify my rythms and bass lines quickly during our first jam sessions (not started yet, waiting to get more comfortable on LSDJ) to match with the other instruments (tabla, guitar, flute, didgeridoo, yeah!), so i'd like to select some ''standard'' settings that could pass in various situations (and fine adjusting later at home) in order not to loose a lot of time/credibility...

stupid question :  did anyone ever try to use bass samples on wav channel with good result ?

thanks kami!

very hard or basically impossible

that's what I thought
the idea was to have kick and snare on the same channel, cause I'm too dumb to think them ''separated'' most of the time
But, I love and always use noise snares, though, and will hang on that!

thanks for the patch anyway, will give it a chance this evening (surely layered with noise, the idea sounds very good)
I've read here that pulse snares could be achieved ''playing with high vibratos'' but ain't got a clue about how and where smile)

i'm trying to save the wav channel for bass, as I never actualy managed to get anything good from the ''3 ticks trick''... so, I have to explore the pulse channel a bit more... even if wav kicks still have my preference in terms of sound

cheers!
can't wait to give a try to the stereo one!!

edit:

any suggestion to make a decent PU2 nice and snappy snare ?
