I'm really interested in what the AGS to Arduinoboy layout looks like for your rig- are the 3 AGSes synced in addition to controlling the external hardware, and if so, how?
Tech questions aside, this sounds really good! Nice work!

I was wondering (and feel free to delete if this is a not-ok subject for these forums) but since the root key for the PSP came out a while ago and people have written apps to sign homebrew software, is there a particular reason that there isn't a signed version of Piggy floating around for PSP so that people can just run it on OFW instead of needing to hack their PSP?
The reason I ask is that this should allow us to hypothetically use all PSP models, including the ones that were harder to run CFW on.
I used to write some terrible music. I still do, but I used to, too </mitchhedberg>
Im sure we'll see an ipad app that is a master sequencer for the line.
I think we can at least already sync them all using nanoKontrol via WIST.
I can see myself using the drum machine a lot, and though the keys dont seem super playable with the build in keyboard, sequencing the 3 voice synth via midi would be amazing.
Time to sell some of my unused gear!!
This is what I used to do before chipmusic- not really a side project though.

There's a reason Game Boys are big in NYC- the subway is a perfect place to make music if you can get a seat. 30-40 minute commutes suddenly become 30-40 minute tracking sessions.
NYC is going strong. The Tank isn't as involved in NYC chipmusic as it used to be, at least with the monthly shows, since the venue isn't big enough for Pulsewave anymore after they had to move offices. I/O is going strong, and has become as big as Pulsewave if not bigger. Control-Flow is a new series that's kicking quite a bit of ass, and there's an handful of other local shows happening as well.
I don't think the discontinuation of Blip has had that much of an effect on the scene in NYC - people still come out and have a great time, and the crowds are just as big for the most part.
Ah! sorry, my mistake. I trust Bryface's response more than mine for sure as he's the DS-10 guru.
Actually, this bums me out since I didn't buy DS-10+ thinking it wouldnt run on older hardware. Whoops.
Thanks for the clarification though!
DS10+ is meant for the DSi, I don't think it'll run on anything older than that.
diggin it. nice work Nick!
The one tip most people aren't aware of re: transitions is the tap tempo functionality in LSDJ. This makes transitions between two game boys super easy. On the game boy you're transitioning to, on the File screen, move your cursor over the tempo value and tap A in time with the other song that's currently running. This should match your tempos up exactly. Then just hit start on the downbeat and you'll be synced up. It helps to have some sort of intro chains to transition between the two songs though. A simple drumbeat or something like that usually does the trick.
So happy to see Batsly's looking to finally get out FAMI! :):)
aaaa looks so good. have fun guys!
Where are you located? I have one that has some minor cosmetic damage but is working perfectly. I'm asking $80 for it.
