Functioning as a reader, yes. They will read the ROM or the save files of just about any cart. They can also write Save files to any carts they can read them from, including commercial game..

That's all I need, convenient .sav reading and writing! Does the 32k limit mean lsdj can't save projects at all? Or just that the memory space for each instance of lsdj is reduced?

A slow pitch bend going up for a creaky door, dissonance, low pitched noise for growls/thunder, High pitched vibrato Instruments as leads...

I did stuff like that a lot, here: http://letavetatu.bandcamp.com/album/ni … rnel-panic

Do these readers work with any other carts?

Shatterhand is great, but STUPID hard! Gimmick! and Monster Party are also great, but less hard, at least for me.

Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa is quite the trip and has some interesting mechanics, the level design can get a bit archaic and the bosses are kind of repetitive, but it's still pretty fun!

There's also the megaman romhacks, particularly Rockman 4 Minus Infinity and Rockman No Constancy.

Uhhhh, I don't know how underrated Little Samson (and the AMAZING WeeklyTreats glitchy romhack that LTC did of it!) and Blaster Master are, but they're great as well.

I've heard this live album more times than I remember. My mom's a huge fan. The alien soundscape on the first track used to freak me out. It's really good stuff.

I got some mint plants from a friend

I could never consider "quitting" music altogether, I feel like it would be erasing a lot of what I've done, a lot of what I've experienced, a lot of what I've learned. I've never been anyone notable in this community but I've played a show or two, made some friends and killed some time enough for it to be worth it. I haven't composed anything notable this entire semester, and I've really just been going over the same track over and over, editing and polishing. Who cares? I just bought some new gear and am ready to step it up a little if I have the chance in the new year, but whatever, I'm doing this for myself. You don't even have to be "good", and I don't see why something like being tone deaf is really a barrier (You can always theory/math it; or go full on atonal and have fun with it). If you're tired, take a break. If you're hyped, good! Work with it.

I've been listening them for forever but only because they're the opening track to the Tinycast. I think they're great.

The manual for this is awkwardly bad, but never bad enough to be funny. Just looks like a sub-par translation.

On KAOSS pad screen, you can use a touch pen to touch/slide to play notes in predetermined scales and chords.

On SEQ screen, you can edit GATE, VOL and PAN in details as well as KAOSS 3 parameter.

The SYNTH screen lets you edit the each synth sound. You can create sounds SYNTH and PATCH and save it in TONE.

Looks like those online tutorials are really gonna be helpful.

I mean I guess I was just grasping at straws hoping someone would say something really cool that I really liked.

I find that the names I stick with are the ones that mean something to me. Anyway, just ask the chipmusic.org overlords, they know.
