For new artists its a way of being taken seriously while at the same time not coming off like they know everything and it helps us get ideas on how to fix what we've got so that it sounds better/can be taken more seriously when it comes to actual release.
But what I've found on this site is either limited beneficial CC actually occurs due to faults on both asking of generic cc not being specific about what they need help on and then non specific/not constructive comments such as "I know why they call you treble cus this is mixed like shit".
There was another thread that addressed the CC problem as "you need to ask for specific advice in OP" on the asking side but I have yet to see people call each other out for terrible CC.

I just through it appropriate to stick to the first three songs BUT excellent sound overall I think! I really really liked the first track second fav would be the third track. I like your sound, energy, and form. Is there anything specific you were looking for cc wise? like mixing/etc? I don't have my good headphones and my speakers aren't very good/turned down low atm so I can't be terribly specific but I really dug what you had overall.

I am in fact 21 years of age. Haha. And yes actually I have lots of friends in San Diego as well so shows in SD would be really really ideal for me as well.

like i get it, it doesn't look "professional" (implying many of us make chiptunes professionally read: as their main profession) and I took the advice for choosing something else, but it doesn't change the fact that people being so worked up about a filesharing network is kinda shitty lol
