It says on the soundcloud for the song that the song was "produced" by Sunny Norway, so is the one who should be getting most of the hate, considering he used Sabrepulse's song, the rappers didn't produce it.

This is established.  I guess at this point the damage is done.  Though maybe something can be learned from all of this.  As im getting into sound engineering myself this could be a good learning platform in the steps necessary to mixing and producing.

well this could be getting a little off topic but with my old garbage laptop i managed to run ableton with midines and had little to no issues.  Now i spent all of my money on a nice laptop and i dont really have anything to record with.

IF i had some extra cash a fun set-up would be running ableton driving midines with midi.  From there i always thought it would be fun to scratch nes(or any other midi device for that matter) live with traktor or something...   Just provoking further conversation.

yeah i heard about this a few days ago, chip tune witch burning hilarity ensues.

I did too, when i woke up i checked the forums and there was only one new post.  I checked again after school and the same thing.  It had just hit me and i stopped by to say the same thing.  Hope everyones either evacuated or safely inside their home.

i can read music though on a keyboard my left hand is a little stupid.  I can read it better then i can play it, unless its a saxophone i can read and play one of those pretty naturally.

6 classes a week, work full time, wife and i just bought a house last week and needs a little more work before we can start moving in.  Needless to say life outside of chip is all i have been lately.

On that note can i get some actual advice XD no offence taken

I think keep making songs and practicing, maybe asking more specific questions pertaining to hardware and software your using other then just asking "which artistic direction should i turn".  I thought he gave some pretty polite and sound advice for this kind of topic.

The secret to being happy is to avoid seeking authenticity from the "scene".  Your asking to be elitist chow.

That being said most of the time i dont even make chip music, when i do its usually on nanoloop.  When i get used to my kronos i might run my midines in it.  Which would still be mostly not chip with a couple of chip sounds on my palette.

And im pretty sure reason can be used as a DAW, i understand its not Steinberg or Sequoia even protools but a "Digital Audio Workstation"  is a digital audio workstation even if you spend most of your time running it rewire style.

I'd go the extra step and grab a power conditioner instead of a surge protector

This and im sure your knowledgeable on grounded verses non-grounded lines in your signal path.  You can also get hum if you plug an ac utility on the same circuit as your audio equipment.  For example if im listening to music threw my mixer and pa and i plug the vacuum in the wrong socket i get WICKED noise interference.  This being an old ass trailer makes it a similar situation, half my power sockets dont work...
