Not sure if this is against any rules or not but if it is then I apologize in advance wink

My friend has recently released (today) a game on Xbox live arcade and It would be great if you could all check it out, tell a friend etc.

The game is called "Happy" and is essentially a rolling fat man, the objective is simple...get to the cake at the end of the level!

Here's some game play footage : http://youtu.be/tUXsbY-lAqg
(although, the music isn't that loud on the actual game, what you dont get from this trailer is the epic sound effects the fat guy makes when he rolls through a chillie or bounces "oit!" )

All the money made from this game is going to an animal rescue center. Literally every penny.

Also, there are 300 posters up for grabs for you to keep forever and ever, woo.
(you can get this - http://www.solloman.com/games.html)

I know a lot of you are really into indie games so please check it out!

I played this a few times while it was being made and honestly, this game makes you happy!

These certainly make you more aware of the way things are in the world.

Earthlings : http://www.sprword.com/videos/earthlings/

There's also a ton of cool documentaries on there about ancient cultures etc.

I just ate a nice cheese sandwich.

I have this beauty (minus the touchpad thing)

It's very comfortable, but unfortunately makes typing on anything else awkward.

That's gotta be good for playing games though!

£4.99 from Argos. It does the job.

I'd ideally like one of these...

If I ever needed to i'd probably use a turntable/records flight case. They seem pretty sturdy and most of them are aluminium, so lightweight too? If you were walking to a gig with one of those to the side you might get the eye from some dodgy people though!

There should be a countdown timer on this thread or on the site in general.

Drum Racks: Ability to very quickly build up a drum kit from any samples you have (drag and drop) (again other software does this but it is very simple in ableton)

I do that yet have no idea how to trigger the samples to play through completely once. I can get them to play completely but they loop and that isn't what I want, just want to be able to play samples via midi drum kit.

I've googled the funk out of it.

Essentially i've assigned samples to the drum rack and a tap on my midi drum kit can either start the looping of the sample or it'll only play the split second i tap on it.

Could someone help me out a little?

do a quick tutorial showing this or something?

Top text needs to be smaller, as trashcan said it looks crammed in,

I personally would have lowered the bottom text more.

Try outlining the text in white or black, only 1 or 2 pixels thick though.

I recently went about using the rock band 1 drums as a midi controller and found that the programs for it were lacking quite a bit.

Is there already a program in existence where you can assign different samples to each pad?

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in creating a program that could do some of the following:

Plug and play.

Runs everything all in one without the need for 2+ programs. In my case I was using xpadder and fl studio. An all in one program would be an advantage as I found myself changing the assigned pads/keys regularly.

Sidebar navigation to your folders of samples.

Preview/playback of samples.

Drag and drop of chosen samples onto a graphical representation of drum pads (assigns sample to pad) which changes colour when a sample is assigned to it.

Waveform editor for creating chiptune style samples.

Creation of multiple pad setups with the ability to flick through them all with the dpad whenever you like. Maybe even a certain combination of user defined hits on the pads could change to another user defined setup.

Effects...maybe pointless? reverb/echo etc...ability to loop would be cool too.

Anyone have suggestions for more?

I'd make it myself but I have no idea where to start, even if I did I'm sure there are people out there who could finish it faster and better than I ever could.

Anyone up for the task? smile

I think the programs don't run on the Monome, the Monome is just controlling something on a PC/Mac (maybe I'm wrong though).

That's true. The Monome is just an empty programmable controller. The Apps and things you can do with it run on your PC/OSX box/ Linux box.

That said, the software is all open & free with very few exceptions. I'll be using it as a visuals controller eventually.

I should have said what I meant a bit better..if this mod essentially turns the bliptronic into a monome then is epic wins smile

Also; Tutorial when it's finished plox heart

Does that mean it'll run all those different programmes people use on their monomes?

If so..swish!
