This helps a lot. It seems the hum is heard through the speaker / headphone jack and not directly from the backlight. I'm gonna get one as soon as they're available and do some tests.

Glad this was helpful - make sure you see the re-edit about pulling power directly from the power supply pcb - it makes a HUGE difference. smile

I know some people, email or facebook me and I'll get you in touch.

I get excited about new music  and then I get tired of it - but it takes a dip before I start really practicing it and playing it over and over, and it develops a second life. Most of the time I realize it never really worked like it should until that second life came around. I'm trying to learn to just wait until that time to even consider recording a tune, but it's hard.

On the song page for the El Musho track is still says "Week #20: Love Through Cannibalism"!

wait, what?

I just want to point out that after listening to that song a billion times and never paying attention to the lyrics, this blew my mind.

"You'll see the sine..." holy fuck

Didn't we just do this thread?

I'm the equipment tech for a university music department, but I also make good money composing music. I'd eventually like to shift entirely to composing.

Actually there's a warning message now - if you've drawn changes to the waveforms, it stops you from making changes in the synth screen with a "are you sure you want to override hand-drawn waveforms?" message.

Reversing the headphone jack board to make space is WAY clever. Love it.

There's actually a pretty long and interesting story about how I ended up using Matthew Joseph Payne as my stage name, but I'm not telling.

SF crew awaits your arrival sir

It seems like an intelligent adaptation of kickstarter to the arts. Most musician kickstarters have never made much sense to me, I think this is a much more sensible setting for a lot of us. I could see doing this by song, by EP, by video, etc. I haven't actually fiddled with it, so I'll be excited to hear what you say, Nick.

I've worked with Jack a bunch in the past and he and all of his projects are totally awesome, so I imagine this will be equally awesome.

Agreed on the active/inactive field. It might also be wise to somehow indicate whether the artist is a performing artist or not - a surprising number of chip artists are active but choose not to play shows.

As a specific note, The Glowing Stars is broken up, but all our websites and info are still up, so that would be a great use for the "inactive" tag.

I have one in storage - I'll see if I can get to it next time I'm there.

Added myself to visualists. Also:
