I don't get why he hasn't shut down his site, if he's not open for business he shouldn't be taking people's money plain and simple. It would be like going to a restaurant, ordering, then they tell you they've been closed for a year and tell you "thanks for the money though".

I'd suggest looking up youtube tutorials and playing around with "fakebit" vsts for a while until you get a good feel for chiptune. I'd get some roms and throw them up on an emulator so you can decide if native tracking is for you. Famitracker is also a nice program to play with for people who aren't too deep in the hardware scene of chipmusic

First computer was an old macintosh, first game console was a DMG and a snes.
