Man, I really hope someone takes Root Down.
I'm going to do it. Give Cartoon Bomb, Pass the Mic. I'm going to opt out doing Shake Your Rump.

I just bought Nanoloop One not that long ago just to try something different. I love LSDJ but there's other programs why not implement both? I really wish Shittracker was available for download.

I made that thread but this thread seems to be more properly titled. I would like to Pass the Mic or Shake Your Rump. I did want So Whatcha Want but seems like Subterrestrial is going for it.

Act as though it's the best song you've ever heard. There's too many people who stand there stiff as a board and bob their head. People will feed off your energy, too many times I've seen great songs get down played by a lack of performance or energy.

I would encourage people to do their own vocals but not everyone, like me, can sing or even rap coherently.

now we're talking. listenint to a b.b. chip tribute without vocals would be boring.
If we're going to do a tribute and one done right, you HAVE TO use their acappella samples or record your own vocals. What's the point of making a tribute album dedicated to rap artists if you're not going to rap or use their raps? I guess you could do a cover of their early punk rock stuff but very few people even know that they started out that way.

Re: MCA is dead. (29 replies, posted in General Discussion)
you guys don't have to do a comp every time something happens
I've actually had the idea for a Beastie Boys comp in my head for some time now. MCA's death just triggered it to the surface. I didn't see anyone suggest a Whitney Houston comp. No one is obligated to do anything either, it was a mere suggestion. If there's enough interest maybe something will happen, either way I'll probably just personally make my own tribute cover.

What a sad day for music. The Beastie Boys have always been an inspiration to me as a musician.
Tribute comp?

Re: I need Chiptune for a video game (50 replies, posted in General Discussion)
This is a classic case of counting your chickens before they hatch. Sure you could get someone to start making songs, then it turns out you and your friend decide that this isn't something you want to do and now you've wasted not only your time but somebody else's. I have no issue with you wanting music for your game and even if it's freeware and you needed a musician to work for free, no gripes there either (I'd definitely work for a freeware project, depending how good the game actually is.)
Bottom line is, you need to bring something to the table. Take these guys for example: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/6965/ music-500/
That was just posted recently and they offered not only money but they have a website and video of currently rough gameplay. Start coding and building your game then comeback when you have something. You're planning too far ahead.
