Pretty cool, I enjoyed the minimal vibes. Nice flow throughout the album too.

As for getting better 8-bit drums, I've always been partial to NES DPCM/sampled drums. Try RushJet1's excellent DPCM tool, RJDMC, which in addition to converting wav files to the .dmc format, will also let you export wav files after they've been downgraded to NES DPCM specs for use in sample trackers and the like.

We will have a selection of hand picked tracks on the front page as well, that will be by no means attached to popularity- Quality/Creativity over all else.

That is an excellent idea.

Excellent, as always. I just love how great space-y chip music sounds, the chip sound really lends itself well to that environment.

Looks interesting, apparently some people care big_smile

Also, interesting link Battle Lava. I always enjoy reading about game design ideologies.

Excellent release, there's a great flow throughout the album. Nice Jazz-Prog-Zappa mix. Like I was telling you earlier, Kerplanda's 7/8 interlude/coda is awesome; It's representative of the great multi-section songs all throughout. Great job.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to the chip full-length and anything else you end up releasing.

Submission sent.

I tend to write lead sheets for quick sketches. It's a way of writing down the absolute essentials of an idea while leaving the arrangement completely open. I'd put some up, but the computer that I did most of my composing on is trashed.

Awesome, I'll have to try this out soon. When those future features get implemented this will be quite robust, looking forward to them.

If John Cage wrote music for Pong, there wouldn't BE any music.

I think that was the joke, unless this is a meta-joke? Besides, John Cage is more about chance than silence so maybe video games sound effects wouldn't be that much of a stretch for him wink

Super interested!

jefftheworld, the answer to your problem is surprisingly simple. The new posts icon only appears if you are logged in, ergo, just browse the site simultaneously in two different browsers, one logged in and the other not. This will nip this pesky problem right in the bud!

Although seriously, how big of a problem is this?

So is there a chipmusic information minitaurization project or what? At least I got a cloud appreciation website out of it, could be worse.

That's pretty clever, Saskrotch.

This is a pretty solid album, even if sometimes it's a bit hard to follow. I enjoyed it overall and it's certainly worth the listen. Good stuff!
