I dunno if it updated it since the alpha, and since I already did it, but if you can't get the mac version running, hit the Go menu in finder->Go to folder and type in /usr/, then drop the libSDL-1.2.0.dylib in the lib folder.

got the same error as pulselooper then i did this and it works! so excited!

me too!

it could possibly, if you haven't switched them out and they are stock (even in a Play It Loud!), they are *technically* past their expected life span.

its sort of amazing what recapping can fix.  and, i should have caps back in stock asap, just waiting on one of them thats backordered.

hmmm.

then check your solder points again for a short.  or post pics of your work and we can check it out.

the half clock board is working right?  just the speaker hum is the only issue you're noticing?

the only other thing I know to do would be to work through each mod, disconnecting it from the other circuitry, and do process of elimination.  i was thinking the clock signal was getting into your audio path somehow and you were hearing it as the hum.  but maybe not.  as a generator of the hum, i suppose.

the other kits, the parts themselves, wouldn't do this.  poor soldering can cause all sorts of issues.  also in the backlight installation, something could have been damaged on the front PCB or any number of things.  if it were me, and i wanted to get this figured out quick and not worry about it again, i'd just go through each mod, disconnect it, and see if it fixed the issue.  start with the clock, then backlight, then prosound.

a ton of people have used similar configurations in their DMGs and gotten no issue, so i'm sure its not a compatibility issue.

check the tutorials again, and make sure you hooked everything up right of course.

and to just ask....  are you positive the hum wasn't there to begin with?

and you removed the original crystal right, and aren't wiring up some crazy switching mechanism, right?

(just to check)

it might be where you've located the easy_CLK board itself, the speaker's magnet might be picking up hum from that.  try moving it somewhere else inside the case, away from this magnet.

its most likely the clock if any of those methinks,

is it a clock kit, just another crystal, or what?  and, how did you wire it up?

you can edit the title all you want by editing the first post.  you can change it there.

i think most tablets have some sort of USB, or USB compatible, port

but tbh i'm not really sure about these carts and win8, no one has mentioned it to me and i haven't had a chance to check

what type of cart are you using?  for some reason, some EMS carts dont work.

but mine does fine...  LSDJ and all...

in fact, there are a few people doing this with EMS carts, the only recurrent issue i'm aware of (on all the carts) is that bank-switching is near impossible on the SGB (but not entirely, you've just got to be quick about it)

i got the pair of silver ones (i *think* he made a set for himself, but am not positive)

they're actually incredibly awesome...  pricy (cause the silver), but really functional.  he even did the link port cover...

the added wait makes the force required to press down on a button less, which really appeals to me.  makes them like a fast-response button or something.

there was almost zero interest in more silver ones, or other metals.  at least during that attempt.  it makes justifying doing a mould to get cast metal parts like that made pretty difficult...

link?

(unless i'm just totally blind or something...)

try pliers, pinch real tight, and see if you can get it out this way

companies make stripped-screw extractors though.  i've got a set made by Craftsman (Sears brand), they work really well.  two part process, you drill out the top of the screw a little bit, then another bit goes backwards, bites into it, and unscrews the thing.

(regarding the subforum bit) -- the easier way to do this would be to just upload the song in the music upload section, you could NOT ask for CC that way just as well, and link to your video in the text (i'm not sure if you can embed vid there, its worth trying though).  at the list you could post the link like above

and if you feel there is a gap to where your music needs to be to warrant a full release, the CC section might be the perfect place to find the bridge smile

if you really don't care for CC, let me know and i'll just lock this thread.

but if the way the thread and the CC are going is cool with you, i can leave it all the same.   its going like a CC thread so far anyways...  if there are some specific things you'd like feedback on, its a great time to seek that out.  CC can be a chipmusic classroom.

shipping times everywhere are delayed pretty bad this holiday season.  they are for sure with USPS, and i've been having delays all over europe in the past week with packages.  from one end to the other....

nothing you can do other than wait unfortunately.  seems like the postal system is a bit backlogged right now.  my super-friendly-amazing postman is complaining about it pretty heavily even...  (and that means something)
