The jack placement annoys me so much I'm going to just jam a broken headphone plug in there unless there is reason to use it over av?

My english is not so good... sorry...
But if you are asking about hard muting over av headphone jack, I don't remember if there is a possibility in the original plug.
you might have to resolder it by another with two switches for muting two speakers.
but I don't recommend soldering inside dingoo.
I destroyed one of my speaker (then I replaced it with mute switch for the second speaker).
But anyway I use headphones almost anytime...

I don't know if there is a difference between AV and Headphones output.
Didn't tried to compare it.

Anyone knows how to bent it?
I'd like to have hard mute control for each channel.
I'd like to switch between patterns with same muted / unmuted instruments.
thanks.

Does opendingux mute the speakers when using the av out for headphones?

I don't think so.
turning speakers off is done mechanically, I think there's no software monitor for plugged / unplugged jack.
all audio outputs are running all time, untill you turn them mechanically off by grounding them (that's how phones output turns off speakers).
get a little switch into the dingoo (there is really small space inside) or get stereo jack grounded to itself plugged into phones output.
that's my opinion.

My top GB roms

Most (newer) laptop soundcards have only mic input (no link) behaving as both - mic and link input.
It is stereo in this cases.
But it depends on each soundcard...
I use this, I'm too lazy to use a proper external soundcard.

I'm using Cooledit BTW

I have Transferer II and ems 32M card. Transferer II works great and I use it for uploading GB camera photos to my computer.
But If I would have a money, I'd buy EMS USB card thus lots of nowadays computers doesn't have serial port for connecting Transferer...

I use Kaossilator.
It's hard to say what to do with it ...
Mostly i Use it only alone, building track on a fly...
Sometimes I'm playing only 1 instrument with other equipment (not looping).
but i like it.
I'm glad to have one.

Let this be done.
