Right...

Hey,
I woke up one morning and thought; what if I opened an online store with Game Boy related mods and services?
If Thursday Customs, Nonfinite Electronics, Kitsch-Bent, ASM Retro and the highly successful Rose Colored Gaming are making money from something they love, why can't I?

If I were to sell items online I'd concentrate on:
- Game Boy DMG, Pocket, Color and Advance illumination mods
- Stock Game Boy Advance SP consoles and other rare console items
- Game Boy/Color reproduction carts
- Other mods like paint jobs

I "might" also get into the whole DIY stompbox thing if there's enough interest. I have experience in that field as well.

It'd be located in Spain which will give a small benefit over stores from the States when it comes to shipping to the European Union.
This is, of couse, just in its early stages so I'd like to know what do you people think about such idea.

Thanks for reading.

Hey! Are you sure you can fit it into a DMG considering how big/thick the panel is? Having said that, I have one that I haven't used yet with the LEDs' legs trimmed down. But, I'm afraid shipping from Spain will be too expensive. it's like 4-5€ considering the weight of the envelope. Dunno how much to charge for the LED panel itself. it was orginally $15 or so.

The GBB is slightly bigger than the GBC so the innards will not fit. I have seen a GBA SP clone with "GB Boy Colour" written on it (probbaly has a much smaller PCB but can only play GB/GBC games). Now THAT should fit anywhere.

I'll see if I can find one like that but it'll be difficult.

Sweet review! I've put the Crystal one on eBay if anyone's still interested: http://www.ebay.es/itm/271203321541?ssP … 1586.l2649

Thanks!!

Edited main post. When I have the time I'll hook one of the GBBs to my UX1 and record something.

Could someone send me a save with a resource-heavy song? I have LSDj 4.6.9. I'll try to do a comparison with a White DMG and a modded Pocket (that's all I've got atm). Thanks.

Yep, backlight. The pixel count is pretty low but acceptable.

I don't have the right equipment to verify this but I noticed a white noise kind of sound heard when the volume is all the way down.

These are strictly for sale, sorry. I sold one to Kitsch some time ago, maybe he can review his. I will eventually do a video and hi-res pics of the one I have for myself.

Can these go on eBay? I might set an auction to see if there's enough interest to bring more.

I'm also from Spain and trackable airmail shipping isn't very expensive. For up to 500 grams it costs 12€ or so. And if you send regular mail it's even cheaper.

These are brand new and boxed. Works with all original GB and GBC games, also tested with a Smart Boy Cart and LSDj. Includes batteries and built-in Game Boy games (188 according to box). Will post pics soon.

Yellow - 50€ + S/H - SOLD

Shipping with tracking number:
4,23€ for Spain
8,65€ for Europe
12,15€ for rest of the world

Might add more stuff for sale later. Thanks for looking.

Edit, pics:

I find Nonfinite's panels to be too thick for a Pocket to close properly without showing "bubbles".
Having purchased from both providers I'd say go for ASM.

This is a little WIP. Transparent DMG spray painted red from the inside and sanded to make it look 'grungier'.

British artist Patrick Wolf uses chip music in some of his songs, here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bi-YqJcKuc

I have the following:
- GB Boy Colour(backlit GBC clone in good working condition, boxed)
- KF-2000 (DMG clone, non working)

› Pics

I was thinking 40€ for the GB Boy and 10€ for the KF-2K.
Shipping with tracking number is 5,39€ for up to 100gr and 12,04€ for up to 500gr.
Non-registered shipping should be cheaper.
I'll be shipping from Spain.
