And, personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with offering a different experience in live performances than what is present in a "studio" recording.

personally i only got my songs mastered to make them coherent with one another.
Most of the nit-picking was done in the final mix on my stuff.
Then i let someone that konws what they're doing master that shit. But you shouldnt expect to send a shitty mix to a mastering engineer and have it come back sounding amazing.
i see mastering as something that just gives all the songs on a record some sort of unity, volume wise, dynamics wise etc. i dont regret paying to get drip taper mastered at all. i dont think id ever release something again that wasnt mastered. But im not doing any gameboy shizzle thesedays.
Hell the gameboy ep i put out was just raw as fuck. i didnt even record it split channels. just worked some bro step magik in izotope. For myself though, the reason i enjoyed making a lsdj ep was for that exact reason. That it was just gonna sound like how it sounds straight out of the tin.
But i definately appreciate a mixed and mastered record. Peer - dances sounds wicked, as do C-trips stuff, Monodeer, J Arthur Keenes etc. There is a big difference in my eyes between 'sounding low-fi / low-bit' and 'sounding like utter shit'.

Hello

This is a pretty random request, but after searching all over the internet and the manual i can not for the life of me locate the dimensions of a Siel Orchestra.
I wonder if anyone here has one or knows a buddy that does that could share the measurements with me ?
I would be eternally grateful !
The reason its so urgent is that im flying home for a few weeks on june 10th. Before that i would really like to be able to get a hard case for the Siel this side of the globe because its way cheaper.
This is proving tricky when i dont know how big the beast is haha

Also if anyone in the UK has a case they are looking to sell that's suitable im interested !

well not really.......im pretty sure most of us know the difference you douche : P
mixing surely would be recording the channels seperato and putting them in some sort of DAW - did mine in ableton
mastering then is brickwalling the exported wave file from above DAW in Izotope.

am i doing this right ?

didnt want to start a new thread but im wondering if someone can help me out

I've searched everywhere on the internet trying to find the dimensions of a Siel orchestra so i can get a case for it.
When i go to the uk next week im picking up a cheap Siel. But in the manual or anywhere on line i can't seem to find the dimensions of it.

If anyone could help me out i would be eternally grateful.

Also if anyones selling a suitable hard case i'd be  tres interested.

Thanks

Thats called latency.
Im no expert - i got an edirol ua 25. Its cheap. i had it for 5 years and its ticking over enough to do what i need to do.
Remember you get what you pay for.
There are lots of threads on here about soundcards / mixers etc. Do a search and you'll find some helpful information.

I would learn to type with some punctuation dude.

But as a rule of thumb, if it was decent you would be pretty happy to just release it. If you're not that sure about it, then it's probably not that great.  And your doubt is probably because you feel like 'its alright but i can make it better'.

My advice if you feel unsure is hold out till you make something and think "dang thats dope, imma release this now"
And not to sound too rude, but as i don't have a clue who you are im pretty indifferent to your releasing an EP.

then you need a usb soundcard. can get them pretty cheap, then you will have a line in and also your audio outs. and better latency.
