you could always get an mpc or something and rock along.
or export your songs and play them thru ableton or traktor or some software like that. That way you would have access to effects and would be able to transition smoothly between songs.

I'm from chicago, and id be willing to come down and play!
there ya go!
this will be great for my windows movie maker AMV made using only images from the google image search of anime!
Im going to be in michigan this weekend and was wondering if there are any chiptune events/open mics going on.
Thanks!
These work great for a gbc. Throw that button cover in the trash though. The light also acts as a screen cover when it's flipped down to prevent scratching and best of all it's powered by the link port so no extra batteries.
That seems like a really good choice for the GBC!
Ive seen a couple of Chip-Artists using this one (http://www.amazon.com/Nuby-Game-Light-B
game+light)
if anyone has one, id be down for buying it!

Im hoping to avoid backlighting at the moment
but I've totally looking into those for the future!
I use a behringer DD400 for Beat-Repeat/Hold type effects, and also for filler noise between songs. They're cheap too!
Hi! Im looking for the best (effective/cheapest) method for seeing my GameBoy (DMG and Colour) screens in the dark. Im hoping for a list of your favorite external peripherals that can hold me over until i have enough for a nice moded DMG.
I have a 40$ behringer delay peday that can do some rad holds, as well as cool delay effects for builds.
So, this upcoming week marks my one year Anniversary of making chipmusic, or rather releasing it.
Last years Acen (anime Central-a chicago anime convention) was where i gave away my first EP which was truly terrible. since then i have released two EPs, which have shown how much progress i have made. I couldn't have made it this far without all of your help, so Thank you so much. If any of you are going to Acen, try to find me and ill give you a free demo.
Cheers,
Aaron
any suggestions? im kindof on a budget, so under 100 dollars would be nice.
ive looked at some delay pedals like the dd400, and also looping devices like the Cycloops or the Boss rc-2. any other suggestions?
edit - clarified title, lb
Ive done a couple of things
1-Use a program like nanoloop (GB, GBA, Android, iOS)/Trippy H (GB camera) and write a little loop to play while changing songs.
2-Run LSDJ on another device (I use a PSP, but i hear emulators work pretty well) and mix between the two DJ style
hope this helps!
and apologies for the typos, its just not my night.
thank you all so much for your feedback. truly.
